In the shadow has been the fear that I am better off being logical/linear/analytical and that I don’t have any real creative talent.
You might see sexy.
In the shadow has been the fear of not being attractive because I was cheated on a lot and because I was a late bloomer in puberty.
You might see a poet.
In the shadow is the fear that poetry may have stopped flowing through me because I don’t write poems that often.
You might see success.
In the shadow has been the fear that I’ll never live up to expectations and that all the blessings I’ve received would have been better off given to someone else.
You might see happiness.
In the shadow has been the fear that I have mental health issues and I’ll always battle with intense periods of depression.
You might see strength.
In the shadow has been the fear that I’ll run out of my will to live and end it all.
There’s an old Native American saying that we all have two wolves, one is evil and one is good, and they are fighting an inner battle inside us.
Which one wins?
The one we feed.
The path to our liberation is in where we CHOOSE to put our energy and focus.
I choose to act from love in every moment, I AM KIND.
I choose to keep creating, I AM CREATIVE.
I choose to embrace more of my essence, I AM SEXY.
I choose to keep writing poetry, I AM A POET.
I choose to do what my heart desires, I AM SUCCESSFUL.
I choose to celebrate my life, I AM HAPPY.
I choose to live as fully as I possibly can, I AM STRONG.
You have shadow, that’s ok. You have struggles, that’s ok too. These do not mean you’re doing anything wrong or that you can’t create the life of your dreams.
There’s no secret.
In each moment, you are choosing who you are and therefore you are choosing your life.
You are whatever you choose.
So... who do choose to be?
