ARE YOU GRATEFUL?

"I'M GRATEFUL THAT I AM A LIFE".
I am giving you this advice because many people have no idea how lucky they are to be alive, even the people who have disabilities or have lived through bad experiences. I am a person of numbers, data and facts. Just take a look at this GIF and you will definitely notice one thing:

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT

The Butterfly Effect also applies to a person's life. Every decision we make has an impact not only on us but also on our fellow human beings. Your negative experience takes you on other paths and on these paths you meet other people you would not have met if you had not had a negative experience. At the end of this article you will find a video in German with an English subtitle. In this video you can see the Butterfly Effect in a staged video.

WHY SHOULD I BE GRATEFUL
You should be grateful because it makes you happy. As I said in my video above, gratitude triggers the brain to release the hormone dopamine, also known as the happiness hormone. Add to that the gratitude that you always see both sides of a coin. One side is the positive and the other the negative. For example, if a disabled person is upset about his or her disability, they will only see the negative side of the coin. The positive would be to accept and be grateful that he is alive at all. There is always a person who is worse off than you are. After the video below you will understand exactly what I mean. An example for people with disabilities was Steven Hawkins (RIP). A person who had ALS, was in a wheelchair and trapped in his own head had so much to offer mankind. If he had only focused on one side of the coin, we probably wouldn't know him.
My own life is such a butterfly effect. If you've read my show you know what I mean. I've lived through a move, parental separation, growing up in a youth center, etc. But these events have made me the person I am today. If you personal trainers hadn't decided to open a fitness center, I wouldn't be writing this article today. As long as you just stay in the present you don't see the big picture. You have to analyse the past without emotion, with pure logic. Because your past is your present.

You've all seen these time travel films or series. If you look closely, you notice a philosophy from it. Every event is followed by another one and if you change the first one, you change the whole story. So be grateful for everything, because you don't know how important the positive or the negative will be for you in the future.
