There used to be a time that car alarms would be going off all over the place but at least here now, it is very, very rare. Finland doesn't have a lot of this level of break and enter crime though.
What I am wondering however is if it just isn't worth breaking into cars like it once was or, if the security level has improved making the risk not worth the reward.
Currently, security is a massive point in crypto but there will likely come a time where it is much less so as security services more readily integrate to offer high level security without so much complexity. Mainstreaming crypto is going to require it in the long run as most people have become accustomed to outsourcing their security to automated and centralised services.
While this might go against the idea of responsibility of ownership and freedom to some extent, for average users they will welcome the sense of security offered, even if it is only a sense.
