For an ordinary person like me, it's not everyday that you will be in front of the camera. So, when there's a situation where you will become one of the subjects, it's understandable that you will feel uncomfortable. You become stiff and awkward especially when you are asked to pose. That's exactly what happened recently.
One of my closest friends got married and I was one of the groomsmen. Of course, pictorials are a must. We were asked to pose and do some pretentious acts just for the photo and video. It was very awkward, but we had to do it. I had to muster all the confidence that I have just to look natural on camera. But I realized something. I realized that confidence is a choice. Confidence is a product of a decision.
If I didn't choose to be confident in front of the camera, I'm sure the groom and the photographers would be disappointed in me.
To celebrate another milestone in my life, I share this photo taken after the weeding. I choose to be confident and I will fake it if I have to. I know that someday, I will be naturally confident with a heart.
