The robot resides in a facility in Austin, Texas, United States, and "can disassemble nine different versions of iPhone" to an average of "approximately 200 phones per hour," the company reported, cited by CNBC.
Apple plans to have more versions of Daisy, and for now customers with obsolete iPhones can recycle them through the GiveBack program in Apple Stores or on the company website.
For every old cell that the firm receives through its GiveBack program, the technology company will make a donation to the NGO Conservation International.
