A new report by Ebteems says hackers used the reputation of "Fire and Fury: Inside White House Trump" by Michael Wolf to spread malicious software to users' downloaded devices. Kaspersky Labs found malware in the pirated CDV version of the book sparked controversy about US President Donald Trump.
In a tweet posted on his Twitter account, security researcher Misham said the malware came in a malicious file from the PDF version of the book and allowed hackers to penetrate the victim's device and steal personal data easily.
On the other hand, all versions of the book sold in Amazon, Apple and others are intact, but unauthorized free copies of books downloaded free of charge in hacking sites are infected with these malware.
