Buthidaung: Military demolished 2 Rohingya houses and sold them as firewood in a village track of Buthidaung Township yesterday (26th June 2018), report sources.
Military from battalion no. 353 came to In Laung Chaung village tract of Buthidaung Township and demolished 2 Rohingya houses for illegally selling the parts as firewood.
According to locals, these are Rohingya houses, where Burmese forces’ immense tortures have forced the families to leave their houses and take perilous journey towards the neighboring Bangladesh.

Today (27th June), a set of 40 Border Guard Police (BGP) arrived at ward 2/3 of Buthidaung township and started raiding the village. There, they interrogated the remaining Rohingya with family list and increased the fear for the Rohingya in the area.
“It's certainly done to wipe out the remaining Rohingya from northern Arakan (Rakhine) with their (gov't forces) force and fierce”, explains a local from the area.

Earlier on 25th June 2018, authorities from village administrator’s office arrived at Mingisi (Mee Kyaung Zey) village track and extorted 470, 0000 Kyats from a Rohingya named Hamid Husson S/O Nazir Husson.
Due to immense harassment, persecution, arbitrary arrest and mass money extortion more Rohingya are forced to travel towards Bangladesh.
