StakehouseDen - Video Blackjack 🃏
Video Blackjack is an online version of the classic casino game, where you play against a computer-controlled dealer instead of a live one or other players.
The objective remains simple: get a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. It follows traditional blackjack rules, but with the added benefits of faster gameplay, crisp graphics, and often lower minimum bets.
Perfect for a quick and convenient gaming experience with just a few taps or clicks! 🎮
Card Values:
- Number cards (2-10): Worth their face value.
- Face cards (Jack, Queen, King): All equal 10 points.
- Aces: Can be valued at 1 or 11, whichever is more advantageous for your hand. ♠️❤️
Objective:
Your goal is to get a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without busting (going over 21). If you exceed 21, you "bust" and automatically lose. 😬
Gameplay Overview:
Initial Deal: Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards. Your cards are shown face-up, while the dealer shows one card face-up (the "upcard") and one face-down card (the "hole card"). 🃏🃏
Blackjack: If you or the dealer is dealt an Ace and a 10-point card (totaling 21), it’s a "Blackjack"! 🏆 A Blackjack wins automatically, unless both the player and dealer have one, in which case it's a push (tie).
Player Actions:
- Hit ➡️ Request an additional card to increase your hand total. You can hit as many times as you like until you stand or bust.
- Stand ✋ Keep your current hand total and end your turn.
- Double Down 💰 Double your original bet and receive only one more card.
- Split ✂️ If you’re dealt two cards of the same value, you can split them into two separate hands, placing an additional bet on the second hand. Both hands are then played independently.
Dealer’s Turn:
- After you’ve completed your turn, the dealer reveals their hole card.
- The dealer must continue drawing cards until they have at least 17 points. In most casinos, the dealer is required to stand on a soft 17 (an Ace and a 6), unless house rules say otherwise. 🤔
Payouts:
- Winning hands: Paid 1:1.
- Blackjack: Typically paid at 3:2.
- Push (Tie): If both you and the dealer have the same hand value, the bet is returned to you.
