Hallo everyone ! Today I want to present my historical correctly recreated new longbow together with some arrows to you.
The bow is about 2m long which makes it quite hard to capture it in a picture, but here it is. The bow is equipted with a hemp string, is optimized for a drawing length of 31 inch and has a drawing weight of 52 pounds !!
The bow posesses a really nice circular carvingto detect the middle of the shaft. It is quite incospicuous but I like the simple style.
The ends of the bow are also hold in a quite simple fashion.
I also have some fitting arrows. They have 3 feathers each, which are fixed by linen thread. The nocks are just simply cut out.
My firs shooting tests were amazing. I can feel the 52 pounds, but the shooting was so smooth that I directly fell in love with the bow ;) .. I was also quite surprised about the immense speed and penetration power of the loosed metal tipped arrows.
I really hope you like that bow, also you are not able to experience its smooth shooting on you own.
