This is my entry into the #architecturalphotography challenge. I took this photo May, 2011 in San Francisco. On this particular trip my husband’s big joke was for me to take pictures of him touching landmarks. I took this right after capturing his special shot. 😄
The Transamerica building opened for business in 1972. The structure is 48 stories/853 feet tall. It was the tallest building in San Francisco until the completion of the Salesforce Tower in 2017. The building’s unique pyramid design and deep foundation make it one of the safer places to be in the city during an earthquake.
