The picture is from the Ajanta Caves in India. Those Buddhist temples were built hundreds of years ago and they look absolutely stunning. I encourage everybody to go visit them. It is a truly humbling experience to see what humans were capable of building so long ago. The temples are all carved out of the mountain.
