This monument located in Sabang City or exactly in Iboih village, Sukakarya District, Aceh Province. This monument not only as a marker point 0 kilometer of Indonesia, but also a sign of unifying archipelago from Sabang to Papua. This place is increasingly in demand by local tourists and foreign tourists. By visiting this monument, you have become an Indonesian citizen who set foot in the westernmost point of Indonesia.

This monument was inaugurated on September 9, 1997 by Try Sutrisno (Vice President) and on September 24, B.J. Habibie (Minister of Research and Technology) added an inscription explaining about the geographical position of 0 kilometers of Indonesia based on Global Positioning System Technology by the Agency for Assessment and Application of Technology.
