Even though it’s rather narrow, the central hall of this hotel always gives a sense that it’s very spacious.
Plenty of head room, and then some
I’ve walked into the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel only a few times.
While it's not very large, and while the central hall / lobby is relatively narrow, one always get the impression that it’s very open, spacious, and comfortable.
One day, I looked upwards, and discovered the reason that it feels so spacious. The ceiling of the central lobby is 14 stories high – about 40 meters high!

No secondhand daylight here … this is real sunlight
Therefore, throughout the day, daylight pours into the central hall – from the upper floors all the way down to the lobby, with its garden and water fountain.
While the interior is essentially closed off from the elements, it does not feel separate from the elements. With the garden, the fountain, and the sunlight, one almost feels like she is sitting outdoors.
And the warm natural light gives the entire space a truly wonderful ambience.
