I want to participate in this contest today to present you a different kind of architecture we used to see in this contest.
You can see them here in Alberta quite often, but I think that just like touristic attraction. I'm guessing indigenous people don't use them like shelters anymore. But I'm not 100% sure.
A lot of people visit The Calgary Stampede from all over the world every year. Tipis for sure are one of the magnets for photo shooting.
I took this one beside the road while traveling from Jasper towards Banff National Park.
This one looks a bit smaller. Kid's bedroom? Maybe.
They don't look like some fancy gothic or baroque architecture, but they are much older and that. Most of the people will never have a chance to see them in their lives except in some old western movies.
I consider myself lucky. I can see them often in my real life.
