Those elites do have taste
"La Banque de France" was the equivalent of the Federal Reserve for the US Dollar, but then for the French Franc. Now the Bank of France has become a part of the European Central Bank, as they are part of the Euro zone.
This building once was one of the centers of power and elitism in France. Now it has become a museum. It is located in Avignon and it stands out to all the other buildings in the city center. The style of this building projects class and power. It is very static, which was entended by the people in charge, to make the people that visited or passed by, feel humbled and small.
You can say a lot about the elite, but not that they didn't have style...
