For many, architecture is seen as a profession where you can make an impact. Perhaps that is an impact on the environment, cities or maybe society as a whole. From previous Fill in the Blank challenges we have seen a considerable about of CritDay followers have chosen to become architects to make such a change.

However, is this impact diminishing? In a time of contractor-led design and value engineering are architects being pushed aside? Can architects still make the positive change to society they dream of?
