How fast can they run? Can they run forever?
This scandal at the time it was exposed first would have literally scattered and implode the US governement. Right now, it's partially no longer the case. It will implode a little bit and they will need to hide. How fast can they hide, is running away hiding well enough? Can they run and hide forever? How much time will the providence leave them to hide?
