For today's weed news we go to the great state of Arizona.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey just signed SB1098 into law, allowing Arizona farmers to begin growing hemp.
The bill permits cultivation of hemp as long as the THC contained within is .3 percent or less.
“This bill opens Arizona to the possibility of a new agricultural product,” Governor Ducey said, adding “I’m glad to sign a bill that could have a positive economic impact for the state.”
At this time, they are calling this the beginning of a pilot program which, if successful, should hopefully turn into a full on hemp growing situation.
Ducey has been pretty consistent when it comes to weed-related issues, supporting progress as long as it equals more money for his state.
There is a plethora of things that hemp can be made out of hemp. Everything from fuel, to clothes, to building materials, lotions, soaps etc...
Who knows, maybe we will see Arizona's Sonoran desert covered in hemp plants in the next few years!
That's what's up!
