Today, is not that day, tried for sometime and ended up with this version of "Girl with Pearl Earring. The more I see it the more flaws I find. But did enjoy the process, did learn more on how to use shadows and of course I learned to use clean and soft pieces of paper, since the sketchbook I used for this, was all traced over.
Thing is I had made an experiments with pens on the previous page of my sketchpad, and the pressure applied to those pens traced to the next piece of paper, leaving me with all those lines. Didn't think of it at first, but as I kept working I realized it hadn't been the best of ideas.
Still, it's the first time I use charcoal to make a study of classic art and even though I'm not proud of this, it was fun to make. I hope you like it and tell me what else do you see that may be improved.
Thank you.
