I've been so amazed with coffee painting so I have decided to try it. As I've said on my last painting, it really is a challenge for me, because I cannot erase it if ever I made a wrong move. I have made painting using watercolor, so now I want to try coffee painting.
So on my coffee painting, I chose Baby Groot from the movie Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
Why Baby Groot?
I chose Baby Groot because his color is brown, so that would compliment with the color of the coffee. And also because, he is such a CUTIE!!!
And here is the process of my Coffee Painting:
Vellum Board
Mechanical Pencil
Nescafe Coffee Stick
Brush
- First is I prepared my coffee paint by mixing coffee and water.
- I sketch the outline of the photo using mechanical pencil.
- I started painting Groot with the base color, a light color of coffee paint.
- Then I started adding details to his face.
- Then to his body.
I only used one brush with this coffee painting, I just used the tip of the brush for the small details and shading.
There you have it guys! My first try in coffee painting. Hope you liked it! And I might do more coffee painting sk stay tuned on my future posts!
