Found An Old Sketch of Whitey

Whitey was one of two pet lovebirds that I kept when I first moved to Canberra in 2009.

My home at the time was an old Bedford bus located in a Caravan Park. The Owner, a friend of mine, stored it at the park full-time and had to pay the site-fees whether the bus was being used or not so he was happy to let me stay there while I looked for a permanent place.

The original photo of Whitey was one that I'd posted on my blog back in 2010 called 'From The Bus' - BUT more about that later because I'm keeping those graphics for my next post.

Instead, I took this sketch and jazzed it up in Photoshop by applying filters and creating different effects with gradients. In fact, the image labelled Stamp / Difference is very similar to the effect I was trying to reproduce (although the colours are not quite right) but my favourites from the selection are the two pastel coloured images.

Anyhoo, in the end, it was a pretty productive day...

No... (shakes head) no... it wasn't, not really... I actually had a really lazy day but what can I say, it was Sunday after-all.
