Hello there!
It has been a really long Winter but finally I'm feeling that Spring is arriving 😊
It's probably gonna be quite hot pretty soon, but right now I'm still enjoying the mild transition days.
So it felt like a good time to share a Watercolor Flower!
I'm very excited for the months to come. We will be cat- and house-sitting here in the forest for another five weeks or so and then we'll be back on the road.
I'm grateful for the time we got here, but I'm looking forward now to the next chapter, wherever it will lead us.
I've been learning a lot of plants here, going deeper into my new passion for edible weeds.
There is the most beautiful abundance of greens around the house and I've been learning a new one almost every week, as they are coming up with the warmer weather and sunshine.
My latest find is the one in the photo below. It's called "Knoblauchsrauke" in German, and I found "Garlic Mustard" as an English name.
The leaves smell like garlic, but I couldn't find it tasting a lot like it. It has a nice mild taste to it, not very bitter like other greens.
Of course it has medicinal qualities as well, they all do, but I'm not an expert on that. For now I'm just happy to know if I can eat it ^^
Also it's very pretty! 😊
