Hi, fellow Steemians!
As you know already, I like to create and draw characters, I justly can say that it’s my job because I’m a freelance illustrator. But sometimes I like to create characters just for fun because I often have some in my mind. Sometimes it’s a hard work with many revisions and sometimes all I need to do is to get the image out of my head.
I wanted to draw this butterfly as flirty or maybe like a fashion-addicted person. It seemed to me that this is quite an interesting character.
I started with the outline of the silhouette of a butterfly, hers shape. I wanted to make smooth contours to emphasize her femininity. And I also wanted to draw such a funny proboscis :)
The image is finally pulled out of my head!
It’s time to transfer the sketch to watercolor paper.
Now I'm using not the kind of paper I used to create characters, I had to take another because my favorite was not on sale.
I have started with the wings because I prefer to start working on the most difficult part (as for me).
Now I’m starting to use gouache.
The drawing is finished!
