Today is an exercise in patience. 😁
Time to turn the lollipops on sticks into something looking like road wheels. This is very easy to do but as the wheels don't have polly caps (a flexible insert usually in the wheels to help placement), they will be fixed in place and need time for the glue to dry properly.
The rear idler wheel and the drive sprockets (round spiky things 🤣), are added at the same time. All parts are fixed with Revell glue.
Both sides of road wheels are completed. Then the whole model will receive a coat of Tamiya Clear.
This Clear paint is excellent for protecting the paintwork before the next step. It is a very durable lacquer based paint that will not react with treatments to come, and will hopefully help to keep me from scratching the base coats.
You can see in the above photo how smooth the surface of the front of the tank looks for now, perfect for future work.
The whole tank has had this treatment, now I wait overnight for it to dry before the next step 👍
Until I can get my nerd on (scale modelling), tomorrow, I need to get my nerd on in other ways. I.E. Making a start on a Battlestar Galactica Marathon. Yep Major nerd 🤣
Thanks for looking. I hope you like it. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. MASSIVE THANKS again to everyone who has taken the time to comment, Vote and ReSteem. I really appreciate the help 👍
