Fading into Darkness
Never been taunted until this day.
Out for a walk, shadowy figures cackle me into shock.
As a robot walking to walk, trapped and frozen inside of my own flesh.
Fading into darkness, his footsteps.
Closely behind, each one louder by the second.
The whispers pull, not ready to check in.
Thoughts have turned sour.
Being in darkness and being in my head.
Surrounded by towers filled with invisible faces.
I never saw him as he was there all along.
Hiding in plain sight waiting for me to fall.
Raining blood, out of thin air.
There was no time for me to even be scared.
Like leaves in the breeze my soul left me.
Fading into darkness, wet flesh sleeps.
Until Twilight, I will make the world weep.
Who will be the next to end?
Street lights flicker on and off.
Raising from my own death.
Rats scatter away quickly.
Blood drips down.
I am back,
Steemit.
