My latest artwork with watercolour pencils
I recently posted a few other artworks I made with these pencils. And I really began to love it quite a bit, I decided this time I would make something with only the dark grey colour in it. This piece is a girl holding her head in her hands, covered in paint. For this artwork I used only the dark grey pencil (brand Faber-Castell) and a pencil together with a cup of water. If you are going to try watercolour pencils, don't forget to have some absorbing tissues near you, to remove the excessive water. Don't make the beginners mistake I made with my first work.. It will mess up your paper.
The process of my drawing
This is how I started with this drawing, you can see the first seven stages of it in this gif image below.
I was actually surprised with the progress of the drawing, and decided this time I will first draw everything, and make the finishing touch with water and pencil. My previous works I first draw, then painted with the pencil (water) and moved back and forward to the drawing process. But I have to get used to the technique, so trying out different ways is good to learn.
The last two pictures before the end result
In this gif image you can see very clearly where there I still had to use the pencil with water for the finishing touch. You see that the drawing is still partly pencil drawing here.
I was actually quite excited to finish it, and so here is the end result with my name in there to show it's my own artwork.
The name is not in the picture above the post, as I find it disturbing in this one...
Hope you enjoyed another post of one of my creations. Love to hear your opinion in the comment section!
