Good Evening, dear friends!
I was fascinated by fractals for a very long time and finally,
during the weekend, I had some time to work on my
first fractal-project.
This is the result.
This might not be something special
as I have seen so many much more
amazing fractal artworks within the
community, but it is my first ever
and so I thought I might share it
with you!
(Below is a cutout - further down you find the full artwork.)
Many years ago
I watched this video
(so funny it is still online)
watching it again after such a
long time, I feel it is still as fasci-
nating tome as it was on the first
day, when I discovered it. If
you have the time, spend
a few minutes and
check it out.
For those of you who are not familiar with fractal art - here is some more background:
A fractal is a geometric pattern that repeats at every level of magnification. Another way to explain it might be to use Mandelbrot's own definition that "a fractal is a geometric shape that can be separated into parts, each of which is a reduced-scale version of the whole." Think of Russian nesting dolls.
