: The texture in this painting really makes it feel alive. Great use of paint, markmaking, and brushstrokes. A very honest piece, showing the many layers a painting can contain. building up the texture like that by applying layers is a very interesting element in the art of painting, and one of the most interesting things I enjoy to look at when viewing work up close. I like wondering how it was made.

: Drawn in a Chicago bar, this artist exhibits meticulous line-work with imaginative shapes interrelated on the picture plane. It ends up looking like an old mans face thinking deep about something.

: The vibrant colors caused me to click this post and see what it was. A very nice use of color. Nice GIF animations too of her applying watercolor with a brush in the post. I thought this was worth an honorable mention.

: I did not expect this to animate when it first loaded, so when it did I was happily surprised. I also liked how the person included screen shots of the software programs they used to create this, which made for somewhat of an educational post.
