If is just by your head without references, is pretty good, but i suggest you to try to copy from a photo in black and grey, first get the mail shapes with a hard pencil (2h or a un but be careful don't press too much) and then slowly , from lighter to darker, all the shading and at the end the details.
A set of pencils can be very useful!
