LLAMA
(Auchenia llama)
The Llama lives high up in the Andes,
A rugged place, not for dandies,
Where life is tough with lots of drama
For the imperturbable Andean llama.
Like its camel cousin far away,
It has a habit that can dismay.
This is its predilection oft’ to spit
At anything venturing close to it.
So when nearing a llama it’s best to avoid
Close proximity (unless gainfully employed),
Or else it may fix on you a quizzical eye,
Pucker its mouth and really let fly!
And whilst it’s very nice, with a beast, to commune,
It lacks certain appeal to be a spittoon!
