Today I show you a bit about 'Sandar, assasin for the God'.
This characters was created for a talk/lecture I gave about character design on a concept art conference in Amsterdam.
I talked and showed the process I go through creating such a character.
The design choices you have to make, the background story that you can show through in its design. etc etc..
And undervalued but important, the composition of a character piece like this.
The importance of a good pose/gesture and the importance of guiding the viewers eye over the character, making him aware of the important details and now overloading him/her with it.
Anyway, here are the concept art sketches, the rendered final image and a video showing the process of how I went from sketch to finish.
