Art is a way of expressing one's imagination in the form of writing, artifacts, designs and auditory. Art is a means of passing information to the public which may include culture, history, background and environment of a place etc. African art defines the current and ancient practices, statues, history and culture of it's people with the aim of unifying the different cultures that exist. Art forms that are unique and indigenous to Africa includes architecture, dance, masquerade, fiber art, metalwork, and sculpture. Art remains a profitable tool for teaching and mentoring people especially young generation who were absent during such a period when history was made. Countries that have gone through war have established war museums to pass on the lessons of pain, loss, and bitter experiences of war and promote the need for peace and freedom among different cultures. Today the various slave museums serves to promote the understanding of the impact of slavery on humanity. Arts promotes creativity, improves well-being by reducing stress.
