Hi guys,
Last week my process art piece did not get too many votes so it’s probably a topic I need to drop. Although I went back to class week 2 and was intrigued again by the art project that we did, or rather that the kids did.
The artist of the week was Dale Chihuly the glass blower. Was really wondering how 3-5 year olds were going to blow glass.
Really cleverly, the instructor gave us each a plastic cup that we colored with permanent markers and then popped them into a toaster oven to bake!
The result was….
….an almost glass blown Chihuly piece!
It's a good idea for anyone teaching art or maybe to do with your own children. The orange one came out the best I thought. That one I cut with a scissor before putting it in the oven. Otherwise, I suppose they look like melted cups. It's fun to pretend and a kid might like it.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed.
