I love painting backgrounds digitally .Its a fun way to learn about textures and strokes you just experiment with different brushes to make different material . In this illustration the initial idea was to make a waterfall with mountains and the day should be all bright .So the first i made this gradient with a bright blue sky and The turquoise shade for the lake
Next i Added a moon and some Clouds with a cloud brush set the opacity to 10%
After that i shaded the lake and added some mountains right above it.
I shaded the Mountains too lightest where the sunlight could hit them
Next i added few bushes around the mountains this way they would look more lively and exotic .Added some lighter mountains too at the back . I also shaded the lake a bit more by adding highlights as the water usually shines and shimmers in the sunlight.
Finally i added a water fall that was gushing out of the mountain cliff and some more highlights were added and this was the final result 😍♥️
