Hello everyone :)
Today i want to share with you a part of a project i've been working on, which is all about exploring consciousness, and the mechanics that scientists (so far!) think bring it about. I did a ton of research on this, as like a lot of us, since i was a kid was always looking for answers as to why i'm here, and what drives me on a fundamental level.
It's an extremely fascinating and exciting journey, and something i can never learn enough about!
Be it through science, or by becoming consciously aware of my awareness through meditation and mindfulness. With this come all sorts of discoveries about why we do what we do, why we strive for happiness and much more.
Inspired by what i found out about happiness in particular in my studying about neuroscience, psychology & quantum physics, i wrote this about what really looks to bring happiness about. Many people reported to me that this was really on point and that they resonated with it, so i figured i'd share :)
According to neuroscience, happiness is the consequence of our neural networks being in resonance with each other. We are happy when our brain experiences hardly any dissonance.
Some have the illusion that their consciousness is what decides what they want. If it was the case, the only thing we would need is wanting to be happy...and we would be happy! But it's the subconsciousness that decides it. If we connect to our subconsciousness, we can understand how to be happy.
Being caught on the flawed idea of happiness as a goal takes you away from being happy. Happiness is a side-effect, a consequence of your lifestyle.
When we say: "I want to be happy", it's because of our lack of understanding of what happiness is. If we try to be happy, it goes against the balance of our consciousness. As a result, we become unhappy.
When we have happiness as a life's purpose, we are destined to hit a wall and be depressed or sad. We are creating a concept that can't resonate with the rest. Very happy people just live a very fulfilled life, and as a result, they are happy. They are not chasing it!
The true purpose is not happiness. It's moving forward, evolving, doing what is right.
If our goal in life is to do what is right, we will be happy by doing it.
Unlike having money, or comfort as a goal, we can't hit rock bottom. We can always do what is right according to our reference frame, without having the feeling of dropping out anything, and even get rewarded for it.
Thanks for checking out my post!! Let me know what you think :')
