With my latest creation I combined several of my skills into one synergistic work of art. Photography, graphic design, and creativity are all at play. Many thanks to nature for being featured in this design.
Vibing with the bees 🐝🐝🐝
I was on my weekend cruise when I approached an aromatic tree filled with the buzzing sounds of some very busy bees. As a child I would have never gotten close to such a tree, for I would have feared that the bees would sting me. This time around I got as close as I needed to be to touch and capture this awesome photograph.
I am glad I am more comfortable with being around such an important creature such as a bee, I however still do not love when they fly right by my ear. I would probably do the same if I had wings, so I understand why they must.
I wasn't sure if this photograph that I took would even look good, but it only took one shot. Once I got home from cycling, I got straight to work with no real intentions. The result is what you will see next on this blog of mine.
Final Artwork
Animated Version
My artistic process
This one was pretty simple by my standards, it really only took me 5 steps to finish the art. Then of course came the animation, all of which I did using Werble on my iPhone XS.
Allow me to walk you through my démarche artistique, as the French would say.

Although this photograph was of me, I also was the photographer. I used my Apple Watch Series 3 and my Pivo pod to allow me to capture the image. My Huffy Nel Lusso was my only choice of "tripod" and it worked well.

Two of the same photographs back to back, I mirrored my original photo.

Notice a difference in my outfit? I changed the colors of my clothes and shoes to Hive Red.

The text, my profile photo on Hive, the Hive logo, and a "Powered by Hive" badge (created by ) were all added.

If you look closely you may notice a nice glowing border around the image, finalizing the frame. One last tiny detail is the color of my clothing in my profile pic, it is now Hive Red instead of blue. I'm still torn between whether or not it should have stayed blue. The sky matches it perfectly, but I wanted to tie in more Hive Red.
Thanks for checking out my artwork!
That concludes this viewing of "Hive Connection" by . Look out for this image at the bottom of all of my future blog posts. Think of it as my official footer.
