Last February, I purchased one of the cheapest Wacom tablets there is because of a Youtube review that found its way to my recos. Of course, I wanted to get the Cintiq but I'm still new to digital art and I'm afraid buying the expensive one might go to waste.
I have always felt a deep connection with art ever since I was young but I can't execute what's on my mind properly. I tried oil pastel and water color to no avail. So, nearly three (3) months ago, I have decided to venture into the world of digital art.
I spent a fair amount of time watching and reading tutorials. They always seem so easy but as someone who just got used to drawing in a tablet while looking at the monitor, it seems pretty hard for me. I only spend 2 -3 hours once or twice a week drawing since I'm also working a 9-6 job on weekdays.
The Drawing Process
Just this week, I decided to screen record my drawing process of colorizing a woman with morena skin color. It's actually for a passion project which promotes skin positivity. I will tell about this some other time.
I know it's sloppy and still needs polishing. I also think I haven't practiced enough. I haven't read or watched the right technique I can use especially in drawing portraits. That's why I'm taking my chances here to get constructive feedbacks from the community since I only know one person who's into arts and we can't even meet because of the virus.
Here's the final product after editing it on Lightroom to achieve some grainy effect.
