I started this series in 05 when my pro-boxer Golden Gloves winner boyfriend Johnny Lira was alive. We fought like alley cats about life and politics and the general state of the world. We communicated better in writing. I did a series of six paintings, the final one taking two years to complete and began two years after his death in 2012.
