Today I publish a drawing that I did in my spare time on Easter days, in which a soccer goalkeeper can be seen making a save, defending his goal, which is just behind him..
As everyone knows, soccer is one of my passions. I have a great time watching matches of this sport, analyzing them, reading books and articles about it, observing the market, learning methodologies and trying to adapt them to my style, etc... and obviously, I enjoy playing soccer on a pitch, and directing or training boys.
To make the drawing, I have used:
A number two Mongolian pencil.
An eraser.
A sharpener.
A letter size white sheet (recycled).
Basically, the first thing I did to make my drawing were the base lines of it (of the goal, the ball, and the silhouette of the goalkeeper), as shown below:
Then I focused on the arc and the big box area. Painting the posts and the crossbar of the goal with a pencil, and shading the bottom and sides of the goal, along with the respective shading of the large area, as can be seen in the following image:
Lastly, I shaded the goalkeeper in question (the gloves, the shorts, the socks, the shoes and the shirt), I drew his face, and I finished with the hexagonal lines of the ball using a strong line:
Giving as a final result the drawing that I show below:
