Hi guys, here some friday illustration commissions I've done for the magazine. This article was about microflora exchange and sometimes stays forever in between people when they are having a sex. Risky stuff!
I was in love with this order. They never told me to change anything here and was really happy with all the ideas I've offered to them. There were four illustrations I had to offer for that post.
Here some of the sketches done for this purpose. And two more finished works. I've used Adobe Photoshop to color them all as usual but here I also applied my favorite pattern I've drawn myself in ancient times. It's applied as a soft light layer effect on top of colored background with 30% transparency.
Favorite one
Here is one of my favorites. How a man presents his bad microflora to his woman by a good reason of love. So it's blind exchange metaphora.
Simple layer shapes drawn on separate layers each. And then just a matter of time to add details and depth making it look tasty.
How do you think, is it obvious and readable metaphor or not?
