In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a fantastic glowing deer. When doing the lesson, you'll work with blending modes, adjustment layers to combine different stock photos into a single scene. You will also learn how to work with fire, create lighting effects and increase the depth of field.
As a result of the lesson, you will get this result.
Stage 1. Create a background
Step 1:
Create a new document 2000 x 1734 pix with the same settings as in the screenshot below:
Step 2:
Open image landscape 1. Use the Move Tool / Move [V] tool to move it to the main document with a white background and convert it to a Smart Object.
Step 3:
Go to the Filter menu> Filter> Blur / Blur> Gaussian Blur / Blur according to Gauss and set the blur radius of 8 pix.
Step 4:
Open image landscape 2 and also move it to the working document using the Move Tool / Move [V].
Click on the Add a mask icon at the bottom of the layers palette and use a standard black soft brush to wipe out areas of the landscape 2 layer, as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 5:
Go to the Filter menu> Filter> Blur / Blur> Gaussian Blur / Blur according to Gauss and set the blur radius of 8 pix.
Step 6:
Apply a Curves Adjustment Layer / Curves in Clipping Mask Mode - Clipping Mask / Clipping Mask to darken the landscape. To do this, go to Layer / Layers> New Adjustment Layer / New Adjustment Layer> Curves / Curves and reduce the brightness - see the screenshot below.
Step 7:
Then in the clipping mask mode, apply the Color Balance adjustment layer with the following settings.
