Some years ago I began to feel unsatisfied and stagnant with my painting process.
I knew I needed something new, a fresh approach, but I didn't know where to start.
At that time I used to buy a lot of magazines and because I like to recycle, I thought I could give collage a try.
I began to tear some paper scraps up and move them around.
In the beginning, I treated this new work as a mosaic, selecting little pieces of paper by their tone and value and placing one next to another.
But this wasn't I was looking for: I wanted to explore something unknown, something completely new and unpredictable.
After a bunch of terrible attempts, I finally came up with this one...
One of the most difficult yet satisfying work ever ☺!
