Being raised on a farm is nothing like being raised in the city. I lived in both but was more of a city slicker than a farm child. I remember living a farm for a little while and it was like another life, in some ways it was almost like going back in the past and in other ways it was more down to earth real. You connect with the land and the animals, your relationship with your family is nothing like a city family.
The expectations are different and the acceptance of respect is different, 40 years ago you had more room to make mistakes and just be human but now it seems as if no matter what you do you are breaking the law or pissing someone off somehow some way. You can't even have your own thoughts because if you should ever voice you have a different thought then the others it will make you a big target. Anyways its like two different worlds colliding with each other and rather strange. Makes living out in the middle away from everyone much more appealing.
