Once, and I decided to make an unusual birthday present for our friend from Germany. Since he is a fan of sunflowers, the idea was born in my head)
When the concept was ready, we went to choose fabrics. For the center of the flower, we chose a black cloth with a large texture for imitation seed. For the petals we chose a bright yellow velveteen with large stripes.
As a filler we used holofayber. To animate the sunflower, we bought two yellow buttons for future eyes. A cheerful smile for him we made of red velvet - It was a finishing touch.
Because in the pattern I'm not strong, it was made by my girlfriend. She said the technical details were as follows:
"First, we decided on the size of the central part. One of the kitchen dish turned into a template, now it was possible to mark up the black cloth. I cut off two black circles, to one of them there were immediately sewn eyes- buttons and a cheerful smile.
With petals it was more difficult. With their form, I improvised, taking into account only the length of the circle. Dividing the circle by the approximate width of the petal, we got needful amount petals. To make it more like a real sunflower, we decided to add intermediate petals."
The last part of the assembly consisted of sewing petals on one of the central parts. After that, when both halves were practically sewn, we stuffed our sunflower, and finally sewed it up.
Such a beauty has turned out:
Creators, with his creation)))
When our birthday boy, received his present at the post office, he could not believe for a long time that we made it ourselves! :D
Thank you for watching! I hope you liked it)
