SUBLIMITY
Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 66" x 54"
Wanted to post this painting of mine on this beautiful Sunday evening. I sometimes get anxious on Sundays especially as the day comes to an end. My mind changes from enjoying the weekend to fixating on the many things I need to accomplish during the upcoming week. I don't think this situation is unique to me, I have spoken to many people who have this same anxiety.
I try to combat this by keeping busy doing something I enjoy. For me, one thing that helps is painting.
This painting is called" Sublimity", and is from my collection titled "Imagining the Sublime".
A basic definition of the word, according to Merriam-Webster"s Learner's Dictionary is: very beautiful or good: causing strong feelings of admiration or wonder.
Those feelings of admiration or wonder are the same feelings I had while creating this painting. My interest is to create a space full of beauty and stillness where I can experience the Light and have access to the Absolute. It's a moment of blessed creativity where I can become one with the Divine.
I hope you enjoy the painting. Of course, you may get a completely different feeling from the painting. I would enjoy hearing your feedback.
