Another artwork from the digital collage series titled Small Visions and this time i used the following 3 keywords as inspiration Protection, Safety and Toughness.
I had to improvise and i remembered in our conversations with the client that he mentioned the turtle shell. It was an inspiration i could work with and so i took the part of the photo showing the child and combined it with a turtle shell to make my main theme. The oval frame helped a lot to create the small window to the shell and all i had to do was to fit the child inside. Safe from any harm.
All of the 100 creations are based on a photograph of a child in nature, sometimes a forest others in a seascape or a mountain. The title also comes from this idea, what you see is the vision of the child which is dreamy and colourful. In most of the artworks i cropped the image of the child from the background and add it in a new environment, but in this one i had a lot of difficulty because the photo was a reflection on a lake surface.
The set hands is a simple stock photo that suited my needs both in symbolism and technical composition though it took me a while to adjust the colours and position. Crystals correspond great with the shell to amplify the message of toughness and the warm pink hues along with the flock of pigeons spread a feeling of serenity.
