What happens when you take trash and make art? - You make festivalsaison in Germany even more awesome!

Meet an activist from Germany. He is part of the Makers4humanity collective, makting art on festival grounds.
Art is trash? - Trash is art!
We live in a world full of trash, surrounded by plastic. Sometimes we forget that the trash we throw away, can be valuable for many people. The Makers4humanity collective takes trash they find on festival grounds and make art of it. They make Islands and boats to be more precise.

One artpiece from last year. Made by a colourful community with people of all ages and social backgrounds, as you can read here.
Surviving the apocalypse
When you ever have been to a festival you know: The weather can be extreme. This year the Makers4humanity have been to the Splash! fetival and are currently on the MELT!. They have seen massive amount of rain and storm and still managed to build their Islands.
I have been to a few festivals myself and I know people leave a lot of trash when they leave but seeing this in pictures always makes me sad.

I am glad we have great people like out there and here on steemit who bring this to our attention. I also love that they use art to bring awareness.
So they build the islands, invite people on them and present their creations, including social sculptures, public installations/interventions and street art.
