Let's get back to one of my favorite tpices; Street-art.
Amsterdam, that beautiful city that I was lucky to spend 2 years of my life; is divided in suburberbs. If you wander through them you may notice a unique atmosphere to each of one, an atmosphere created due to the age of the building, their types and more.
Among them, in the North, there lies the northern suburb, separated by the rest of the city with the physical border of the Ij river. Yes, it is called "Ij" and it is pronounced as "eye", one of the Dutch combinations of vowels. In the southern part of Amsterdam-Noord - that is how the suburb is called - is full of old buildings that resemble factories and laboratories, with huge pipes and metallic doors. To my eyes, it looks like an industrial zone of the past - for now most of these buildings have been transformed into pubs and bars with an urban style decoration.
As usually, abandoned places tend to resemble empty canvas, to the eyes of street artists. The outcome of their touch is
an artwork with vivid colours in huge scale!
See for yourself.
