For centuries, mankind have always given the female figure qualities of a Goddess because of her nature of creating life. so here I am creating a pencil drawing of the goddess of nature, the One that gives all living creatures of the forest a propose, from the smallest ant to the biggest deer.
A butterfly stood on her ear to tell everything she sees while she calmly listen, being the butterfly a soul representation for many cultures gives this drawing more meaning as being the soul of the forest and have special conection to this Goddess.
Here is the complete drawing.
Goddes of the forest and nature itself.
First sketch with very little detail to work on the shadows only. This time my drawing was meant to be more direct to create the detail only on the shadows than its lining. as you can see, the lining is very sketchy and with a "erratic" trace just to see where her eyes, nose and lips are.
Here, I already fill her right eye with the shadows to give her the desire texture with the ligthing.
Ok, Now that her eyes, nose and lips were drawn, I went to draw the rest of her face with the shadows and started to create her hair, I thought of leaving her hair the simpler possible.
Here is where I decided to transform what it would be a normal portrait to something more of fantasy or fairy tail related so I draw the butterfly on her ear and some leaves falling in front of her and complete a bit more her hair.
And here is the final result, I was a littlebit of worried of adding those deer horns but I immediately thougth of someone who I saw a lot when I was a little boy Bob Ross used to say that in art, there were no mistakes, just happy accidents so anything I could draw will go as wished because I will turn it into what I want so I think i nailed it.
I hope you all like it as much as I do.
