Welcome Stemmians
Some time ago an event was held in Caracas organized by Cultura Chacao, called "By the middle of the street", which was the festival of urban art.
Caracas – Venezuela
My intention is to tell you how it was, because unfortunately it was carried out until the year 2013, fulfilling at that time with its 8th edition.
Literally it was an event that took place in the middle of the street, and its goal was to promote art at its best in public spaces, give people a side of the city full of art and allow them to enjoy all that in one night.
For the event to take place they had to close many streets of Chacao, the idea of this was that in each block and place the artists exhibited their creations. It happened as I said above in a single night so they usually chose a Saturday to give the event, in this way not to hinder the routine of the work in the week and thus give a different weekend to the people.
The organizers announced the day of the event by their official social networks, they promoted it and indicated the time of the beginning, that it was like 5 pm and its followers from there began to make plans to attend.
I had the opportunity to attend two consecutive years, and let me tell you that it was something incredible, when Chacao reached the environment immediately, the transformation made by art was felt and the tranquility was felt in the place.
The people in charge of the protocol delivered a program or guide, that contained a map with the planning and the points of the activities that would be carried out throughout the night.
It was such a great and super organized event that had endless activities for all tastes, divided into stations, had plays, photo exhibitions, galleries, talks, recitals of poetry, dances among other wonderful things that fed the soul.
They placed platforms at different points where the Dj's created a cool atmosphere, while it was time to make way for the singers or groups.
It was enjoyed everything that happened there, many people walking the place motivated by art, the environment, tranquility, music and everything that the festival made possible.
It was like a dream to see Caracas submerged in art, even if it were just a piece of it, to live for a few hours a completely different city.
I confess that I miss this type of events very much, I would have liked the festival to continue taking place, it was something that was given once a year and it contributed a lot to the city. It was a great opportunity to enjoy art and a peaceful environment.
